I'll get some pics of the bottom of the action, the floorplate and the bolt/extractor and post them tomorrow sometime.PLEASE READ AND REVIEW THE TERMS THOROUGHLY PRIOR TO BIDDING Anyone know the proper diameter and thread for the action? Damn limeys screwed the whole world up with their oddball threads.I do have a 55 deg cutting tool for making Boys rifle barrels so thats not a problem. If its whitworth I'm going to need a new pitch guage.
It was looking like 21mm X 1.5 but it was not quite exact. I thought it would be metric like all the new mauser actions that Remington is importing. I had a difficult time measuring the thread pitch and diameter. I have no idea which extractor this one has.Sako's are not familiar to me. Its hard to make out the edges of the block inside but once you know its there you can see.You can make out the differing color in the blue underneath where the rivets are too. I'll ask them to either leave the trigger guard inletting out or see if they can do the flat floorplate version.Īs for the action, it is solid but it has two rivets holding in a cartridge guide block.
My trigger guard is straight sided and it looks like the floorplate was welded to the trigger guard itself then ground smooth with the whole thing then polished and blued. I think I'll skip that one despite the nice price and go for a standard laminate. I'd seen the Microfit website and they actually have an electric blue laminate available for the mag fed L46.
